Wreaths
I just added a Home Decor section to my Etsy site. I have added 5 wreaths, 3 of which I made today.
These bright colored wreaths are great for both indoors and out.
Let me know what you think!
Photos
The hardest aspect of documenting the jewelry I’ve been making is the actual taking of the photos. Knowing what camera, lens, and settings to use is very frustrating. It really is all in the camera lens and the settings. Justice can not be done to a beautiful piece without the right lens or lighting.
Now, I took a photography class in high school. Unfortunately, I remember next to nothing, besides the aesthetic quality of picture framing. All the art classes I took in middle and high school have helped craft my eyes into seeing a good photo op. I can frame a beautiful picture, not necessarily of jewelry, but the settings always trip me up along the way.
My fiance rented a macro lens for two weeks. The difference in the quality of pictures was phenomenal. I could not believe how much the quality of the lens affected the quality of the pictures. Needless to say, I was still frustrated with the lighting and settings, however, I did have better results. If I’m going to get serious, I will eventually have to get a macro lens in order to properly showcase my work on this realm.

Craft Fair
I’m toying with the idea of being a vendor at the 1st Annual Caine Halter Family Branch YMCA Craft Fair. It is from 9 to 4 on Nov. 7th. I have no idea where to start. So far, I have a total of 4 necklaces and 21 pairs of earrings.
I need to do some research to determine how many items I should make and pricing and display of said items. First, I need to make a commitment and sign up for a table. Then, let the research begin- “how to be a vendor?”
Any suggestions?
